Kathryn acts as internal General Counsel for ICP. She has over 15 years of top-tier legal experience, having practised with two national firms in Calgary and a securities boutique in Vancouver. Kathryn’s extensive transactional experience includes representing start-ups to multinationals in complex cross-border M&A transactions, public and private offerings, international business restructurings and integrations, corporate structuring, and tax-driven transactions. This experience and the inherent uncertainty of business transactions have taught Kathryn to approach legal problems from a practical, solution-focused perspective. As the former owner and operator of a microbrewery, Kathryn also brings a personal understanding of the demands of business and an entrepreneurial drive.

Allen’s experience is related almost entirely to accounting and tax planning/preparation for small and medium sized owner-managed businesses across various industries including professional corporations, real estate professionals, manufacturing, retail and investment corporations. Allen has spent his career focused on working directly with the business owners helping them to obtain their goals, financial or otherwise, and to maximize their family wealth.
Allen graduated from the University of Windsor, earning his CA designation in 1998. Outside of the time spent on business, Allen spends time golfing with his family and friends and enjoys running to stay healthy.
